Workshops & Programming

What is the agenda?

The day includes a keynote, lunch, a fireside chat, breakout sessions, hands-on workshops, and networking opportunities.

What are the technical tracks and which one should I follow?

You don't have to pick just one. We've grouped technical sessions into two tracks, SRE and Developer, as a guide to your role — but they're not lanes. Attend wherever you find the most value.

SRE Track Reliable infrastructure keeps digital services online and user trust intact. This track explores system health, with sessions on observability, automated incident management and resilient infrastructure. Speakers share strategies to build, monitor, and recover distributed systems.

Developer Track Building performant, reliable applications is how you deliver top-tier experiences. Designed for software engineers, this track elevates quality and velocity when building and shipping code.

What is AWS GameDay?

GameDays are collaborative learning exercises where you test your skills by implementing AWS solutions with Datadog to solve real-world problems in a fun, risk-free environment. They are interactive experiences designed to explore AWS services, architecture patterns, best practices, and teamwork — with no step-by-step instructions. Participants do not need to register in advance for the GameDay. It is an open-access format, on a first-come, first-served basis. Datadog will provide laptops for the challenges. Each GameDay session lasts up to 20 minutes.

How do I sign up for a workshop?

Workshop sign-ups will be available onsite on the day of the event, on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendees should plan to visit the workshop check-in desk to secure their place in their preferred session.

Do I need a laptop to attend a workshop?

Yes. All workshops are hands-on, and you'll need to bring a laptop. The workshop labs are not accessible on a phone or tablet, so a laptop is required. We also recommend downloading Google Chrome beforehand, as it is required for most sessions.

My preferred workshop is full—what are my options?

Onsite at the event, you’ll have the opportunity to wait in a standby line for your preferred workshop. At the start of the session, if seats are available, attendees will be admitted from the standby line on a first-come, first-served basis. If your preferred workshop is full, there's still plenty of great content happening across the other breakout sessions
