Ian is the Chief Technology Officer at Civica, a leading public sector software provider, where he leads engineering across product, platform, and reliability.

With more than over 18 years' experience, he has built his career helping organisations improve their delivery capabilities through DevOps and, later, Platform Engineering. That hands-on background now informs his leadership as CTO, where he focuses on enabling teams to do their best work by building strong platforms and tools, and fostering an environment grounded in autonomy, ownership, and trust.
