As Fortum accelerated its digital transformation and modernised its IT service delivery model, one challenge became increasingly apparent: operational visibility was fragmented across teams, service providers, applications, infrastructure, and monitoring platforms. Application teams used different tools, managed service providers operated their own monitoring solutions, and engineering teams maintained separate observability practices, creating blind spots, operational complexity, and increased costs.
